1956 Austin-Healey 100-4


This car was brought to us with a painted inner body/chassis and body work completed to the outer panels. Unfortunately, all previous body work is to be removed and we will be performing a concours quality paint job. Restoration will also include an all new interior. Restoration was completed in April 2017.

April 2017:

Restoration was completed and the car has returned to her owner. The end product was a reliable Austin-Healey that will turn heads and win car shows. The color is very subtle, and when accented by the fantastic red interior, really draws your eye. The car runs and drives fantastic, and will be enjoyed for many more years to come.

February 8, 2017:

The heat shield was installed in all of the floor boards, the windshield has been installed, door trims are being installed. We are waiting for a bit more carpet to come in to finish the interior installation.

January 23, 2017:

The interior has begun installation and Dave is prepping the heat shielding for the floor boards for installation today.

November 30, 2016:

Most of the trim and beading has been installed on the car. It is currently sitting on the old wheels temporarily, until resto is complete and then will be fitted with the new chrome wire wheels. The bumpers, lights, hinges, other chrome, etc. are being installed as well.

August 31, 2016:

Paint is completed on the car, and we have been able to begin assembly this week. All 4 fenders and both doors are fitted to the car.

July 14, 2016:

The final coats of paint were applied to the rest of the outer panels yesterday, so body work is just about completed!

June 13, 2016:

Body work is coming to an end. The body has been painted on the interior and exterior. Body panels, doors, hood, etc. are being prepped for paint.

May 12, 2016:

The body shop is still working on the body to make sure it is perfect. The hood gaps were a challenge, but are complete and are beautiful.

April 20, 2016:

Body work continues on the car to make sure the body panels are completely straight and even.

February 24, 2016:

Metal work has been completed, and body work has begun on the car. Concours correct fasteners are being purchased and installed to make this car as correct as possible.

December 8, 2015:

The metal work is about complete on the car. The front end has been assembled, including headlight buckets and grilles, everything is fitted and complete. Car will be ready for body work soon!

October 28, 2015:

Metal work has begun. Panels are being modified for correct gaps and fitment. The passenger door skin has been replaced.

October 12, 2015:

The car has been stripped back down to bare metal, and metal work will commence soon.
