This car was restored by Gassman Automotive about 7 years ago. The motor had been freshly built prior to our starting. A comprehensive correct restoration was performed to a very high standard. The body off, frame up restoration was taken to bare metal and everything that could be restored or replaced was. Both the green and the primrose yellow are MG colors even though they never combined the two. This car was inspired by Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys who had a primrose yellow TC with green interior and added the green fenders. The look is quite stunning and they work extremely well together.
New suspension, brakes, tires, wiring, rubber chrome clutch, glass, leather wool and top/was replaced. The gauges were beautifully restored and rebuilt by Nisonger Instruments. A stunning burled dash was created by Randy Keller of Prestige Auto Wood. Many period accessories were installed such as the unique alloy valve cover with really cool air filter.
The interior was faithfully replicated as original with Connelly leather and a proper panel set installed. The car retains its original Bluemel steering wheel but shows a few light cracks. A proper canvas tonneau and top were fitted and look fabulous with the color scheme. New 19 inch tires were mounted and balanced. The transmission was refurbished and shifts wonderfully. With very few miles since restoration and being properly cared for, it shows as a fresh restoration but with the benefit of being thoroughly debugged and dialed in. This is truly a vintage car ready to drive.
A full service was just completed and a new regulator and rebuilt generator installed.
Upon completion, a brand new TRW RHD steering box replacement was installed making it a joy to drive without the wandering that is typical for a TC. Kept in climate control since finishing, it still shows as new. Offered for quick sale.
