March 12, 2015:

The car is completed and ready for sale.

March 10, 2015:

The car is just about completed. We put it up on the lift today to take detailed photos of the amazing underside of the car. Completed photos will be coming soon!

December 31, 2014:

The convertible top and header bows have been installed. The dash top had to be removed to install the windshield, and was re-installed, and George is covering the seats today as well.

December 3, 2014:

Mike installed the carpet earlier this week, as well as the rear seats. Today, Dave has been installing the side panels and the convertible top frame.

November 26, 2014:

The grille and grille surround were received back from being chromed and were installed on the car yesterday. Assembly is moving a little slow and we are waiting for several parts to come back.

November 13, 2014:

The car has been moved to assembly and assembly began earlier this week with headlights, warning lamps, and the front bumper.

October 21, 2014:

The trunk lid and doors have been fitted and installed. The exterior hardware has been installed on the trunk lid including hinges and handle.

October 20, 2014:

Pin beading is installed in the rear quarter panels. The fenders are installed, and pin beading will be installed in those today. The door jamb panels have been fitted and installed.

October 15, 2014:

Body panels are being fitted and installed in the car. The exhaust was installed earlier this week as well.

October 9, 2014:

Last Thursday, the 2nd, the engine was started for the first time. The car was driven on Friday and everything runs great. Watch the engine start here:

October 1, 2014:

The push rods were installed and the valves were set in the engine. Doing so required removing the valve cover, so it was re-painted to make it look perfect. The carburetors are installed and are almost completed hook up. Electronics continue to be assembled. Dave U. is currently hooking up the accelerator pedal into the engine compartment.

September 30, 2014:

The radiator and many of the engine ancillaries, including air intakes, were installed today. The radiator has recently had a new core installed, and was painted with radiator paint on the core, and semi-gloss black on the rest of it.

September 29, 2014:

The carburetors are being dis-assembled, cleaned, and rebuilt today, and the rest of the exterior body panels are being taped on the underside (which has already been painted) and are getting prepped for exterior paint.

September 25, 2014:

After the wire harness was installed, the engine and transmission were prepared for install. This morning, the engine was hoisted up, and with the help of 5 people it was installed without any issues. Now that it is installed, all the ancillaries will be installed this week, along with tires and wheels to make the car mobile again.

Watch the engine installation here:

September 17, 2014:

Installation of the wiring harness continues.

September 11, 2014:

The head shields are installed in the engine compartment and preparations for wiring still continue.

September 9, 2014:

The steering rack has been installed. Mike is currently installing heat shields, and preparing for the wire harness installation.

September 8, 2014:

The front brake and suspension components have been installed. Mike is now plating the original bolts and nuts with our new plating system to keep this car as original as possible!

September 3, 2014:

The frame was painted last week to the highest standards. Yesterday it was moved into the assembly area to begin re-assembly. Today, the rear end has been installed and Mike is installing all the rear brake and suspension components.

August 27, 2014:

The frame sanding was completed, and the frame was moved to the paint booth yesterday and painted green. The suspension parts that were painted last week were assembled by Kenny and are mostly ready for installation when the frame and body is finished being painted.

August 18, 2014:

As well as the leaf springs, the rest of the suspension and under-carriage parts were cleaned and painted black. The frame was primed on Thursday, 8/14, and it is now in the body shop for final sanding and smoothing.

August 13, 2014:

Because of the high level of quality that this car will be restored to, even the leaf springs were dis-assembled, cleaned, and individually painted before being re-assembled for installation. The concours level restoration is living up to its name with the thoroughness of the body, frame, and parts.

August 11, 2014:

The frame continues to be filled, sanded, and smoothed.

July 30, 2014:

The exterior body panels have been removed after a final sanding. The inner sides of the panels, including the wheel wells and inside of the doors, as well as the frame are now being filled and sanded. They are striving for perfection in the outcome of this body & frame.

July 14, 2014:

After sanding, several more spots were smoothed with a little more body filler to achieve the ultimate straight body. After filler is applied, another coat of primer will be necessary. The car has been moved to the paint booth, taped, and is ready for its final coat of primer.

May 12, 2014:

The body is primed and will be sanded again before paint begins.

May 8, 2014:

The body is ready to be primed today!

March 18, 2014:

Body filler is being applied and shaped to give the ultra-smooth effect that cannot be simply achieved from the metal alone. Once body filler is applied to the rest of the panels, the rest of the car will be ready for primer.

February 27, 2014:

Fitting of body panels continues, as the tedious process of alignment is both involved and precise.

February 4, 2014:

Rusted areas of the body have been removed and Mike fabricated new pieces and welded them in. The body shrouds were repaired and straightened, and all panels are being fitted. Assembly will begin soon.

October 28, 2013:

Frame/body has been sand blasted, frame is being straightened, and all body panels have been stripped.

March 28, 2013:

Engine was removed, cleaned, and painted. Body panels have begun to be sanded and are getting ready for primer and paint.

March 4, 2013:

Body panels are being removed for repairs to be made to the frame.
