Finished in Wimbledon White with a stunning red interior. This car has been subject to a full rotisserie restoration, done by a Mustang shop in Virginia. The client who owns this car and has consigned it to us had a 1966 White coupe in high school and wanted to drive it to his 50th class reunion. He purchased the car which was born with a 6-cylinder motor and commissioned a full restoration which included all floor pans, quarter panels, a completely rebuilt and balanced 289 V8 with a new intake and 4 barrel carburetor. Air conditioning was added through vintage air and blows extremely cold and has a great deal of volume. Power disc brakes were completely rebuilt front to rear as well as all suspensions, shocks, and complete differential. All chrome was re-chromed or replaced all rubber was replaced. A complete authentic 66 Mustang interior was purchased and beautifully installed from headliner to carpets, all seats, doors, and panels. The dash is proper with no additional holes drilled and beautifully restored. The air conditioning operates from the original hub caps and wheels, new exhaust and a very nice bare metal respray in Wimbledon White. The trunk area is extremely clean with very nice paint and proper hounds tooth mat and spare cover. All the restoration was documented both by receipts and photos and comes with a restoration book. Not counting the cost of the car over $50,000 was spent. The car has less than 500 miles since restoration.
While the current owners intent to have this car at his reunion was on his bucket list, financially he agrees it made no sense, the real winner will be the next person who purchases this car for about 30% of the money spent. Offered for a quick sale at $18,500. Call Mike for details (540)649-3000.
