This is an incredible survivor. A one owner for 40 years, with a very unusual combination of wire wheels and factory overdrive. Rarely do you see a car that has been this well maintained with a beautiful original interior and an engine compartment that has not suffered under the can of flat black paint. We did very minimal work to the car, replacing the under bonnet heat shields, and a minimal detailing. The underside of this car is incredibly solid, but it did have a small rust hole on both doglegs and the center of both outer rockers. We cut out and replaced with new metal, and then re-sprayed the car from the stainless steel moldings down. The car presents extremely well with a new top replaced sometime during its life. It maintains its original boot cover and tonneau bars still in their bag, very nice spare in the trunk which also has its original paint and is rock solid. The car drives as new, starting every time instantly. It shifts up and down smoothly with no grinding at all, clutch is very light and positive, the brakes are impressive and the motor has no rough sounds with incredible oil pressure and is just a happy car to drive. Nothing is fighting itself, and there are no rattles or squeaks whatsoever. The power is smooth and the car is quiet. I was extremely impressed at how nice the car operates and how original it has been kept. Just an extremely rare example of this classic sports car being treated like part of the family. The original envelope from the original title is present, as is all of its service records and factory British Leyland service cards stamped at the original dealership. While there are many MG’s for sale, I have yet to see a more original or sweeter driving one that this. I got the car out the other day to do a quick video where it was stored in my unheated storage building, which was 29 degrees that morning, and the car started immediately without any issue.
